For Better or In Worse

What to expect always seem certain
Wanting immortality to trick death
Or asking death to forget mortality
A wish from the sacrificing soul

Knowing how to pray even in vain
Not knowing for sure lends no gain
Yet convinced to thrive and survive
Wish of the suffering soul prolongs

Making room for the new to come in
Leaves much room for old to remain
Influx of constant craving for better
An everlasting wish of the dying soul
